In the article Sponsors Of Literacy, Deborah Brandt explains  how people become able to read, write or literate. She further explains this process by showing the reader that these things are achieved through sponsors or people, thought or ideas, and institutions.
QD
1. She explains them to be people with multiple characteristics and come from very different backgrounds.
2. Sometimes literary sponsors tend to only focus their attention on the wealthy and middle class and forget to notice the less fortunate lower class.
3. She uses the term stratified basically like everyone else, she means it to be a way to almost separate a group of people. Stakes on the others means the potential a person may have.
AEI
I have learned literary through my family and my schoolwork. My family tries to pass on their values to me and teach me the importance of each. In school I learn the importance of hard work and discipline.
Response
I was a little confused reading this entry but by the end I felt that I understood enough to agree with what Brandt's message was.
